The Alton Central School PTSA is bringing back the popular 6-week parenting series that was started in 1994 by Molly Connelly. This will include a piece of education as well as conversation; please bring your questions and concerns to be discussed by all. This series begins on Wednesday, November 6th and will run from 6:30-7:30pm.
Each week we will have a different topic of conversation. The topics of discussion will be as follows:
11/6: Discipline
11/13: Managing social media and setting limits
11/20: Anxiety in children and parents
12/4: Dealing with tantrums
12/11: Stress management
12/18: Healthy family communication

Mrs. LeBlanc's class washed and prepared apples for yummy apple sauce today. These were the apples they picked on Wednesday at their field trip to Butternut Farms.

Today our very own SRO Davis and Sargent Painchaud from Alton Police Department gave our fifth grade students a lesson on being a flag steward. They learned all about the meaning of the American Flag and how to raise and lower the flag. They also spent time learning the correct way to fold the flag. It was an honor to spend time with both of these gentleman. Thank you!

Alton Central School: The ACS girls volleyball A team cinched their first win over Franklin in a clean sweep of 3 sets. The 8th grade laden team stood out with a number of service aces, superb passing performance and scrappiness. Way to go ACS!
The Boys Soccer A team started their season with a win over Franklin 7-2. It was a full team effort with Captains Owen Bubar and Owen Peterson leading the way!

Come One, Come All...to our first annual PMHS Athletics Cross Country homecoming fundraiser event! On the morning of Saturday September 28th we will be hosting a 5K/Cross Country Meet at Prospect Mountain High School to raise funds for the PMHS Cross Country team!
This event is open to anyone ages 6 and up. We will hold the event with three separate heats, the schedule will be as follows.
Ages 19+: Boys start at 9AM, girls start at 9:15AM
Ages 13-18: Boys start at 10AM, girls start at 10:15AM
Ages 6-12: Boys start at 11AM, girls start at 11:15AM
Prizes will be given for the top 3 male and top 3 female finishers for each division.
Looking to run a 5K on a great course with a lot of options for spectators...and raise money for the PMHS Cross Country Team? Then this is the event for you!
