Monday evening, May 13, the Alton School Board met and appointed Janice Christian to serve as the next principal of Alton Central School.
Ms. Christian earned her CAGS in Educational Leadership from Southern New Hampshire University, a Masters in Early Education from Curry College, and a Bachelor degree in Psychology from Endicott College. During her career of more than 25 years, she has taught preschool through fourth grade.
A New Hampshire native, Ms. Christian and her family have lived in the Seacoast of the Granite State for more than a decade. More recently, she and her husband have been looking to relocate to the Lakes region.
Since being appointed as Alton Central School's assistant principal last summer, Ms. Christian has made a positive impression with her visibility, high energy, and communication with all stakeholders. She has quickly forged relationships with children, parents, and staff.
