students in the woods by a broom
This week, working under a scientific license from NH Fish & Game, Alton and Barnstead day campers prepared a tank to simulate a NH River Ecosystem.  They also spent time in the field learning how to perform a biological assessment of Crooked Run Brook located on the TL Storer Property.

Earlier this year, TL Storer hosted NH Fish & Game training on these processes, with local educators joining in to learn how to bring these activities into our schools.

Under the NH Fish & Game license, TL Storer is able to maintain temperature-controlled oxygenated tanks to collect and observe the life cycles of fish, insects, and other organisms from local waters.  This week, campers helped assemble the first tanks and surveyed Crooked Run Brook.
